Meet Judy Illing – Founder & Managing Director

Hello, I’m Judy Illing — a lifelong entrepreneur, community advocate, and passionate supporter of carers.

My journey to Carerpreneurs is both professional and personal. Having been a carer myself, I know the challenges of balancing caring responsibilities with the desire to build a fulfilling working life.

Over the years, I’ve run successful businesses, supported community initiatives, and worked with countless people to turn their skills and ideas into income.

Through my own experiences, I saw a gap in practical, flexible support for carers who want to start or grow a business around their caring role. I founded Carerpreneurs CIC to change that.

Carerpreneurs was created to support carers — unpaid, paid, and former — who want to explore self-employment and build flexible futures.

Carerpreneurs CIC

Carerpreneurs is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means our purpose is to benefit the community.

Through the CIC we:

  • Provide free or low-cost resources to help carers get started.

  • Apply for funding and grants so we can reach and support more carers.

  • Reinvest any surplus into our mission — never for private profit.

This side of Carerpreneurs is all about community support and social impact.

Carerpreneurs Membership & Digital Resources

Alongside our CIC, we also run a commercial membership programme offering practical tools and community support for carers ready to take the next step.

For a small monthly fee, members receive:
