For Professionals
Carerpreneurs provides practical, flexible enterprise support for informal carers and former carers who are exploring self-employment or home-based business as a realistic alternative to traditional employment.
The service is designed to fit around caring responsibilities, fluctuating health, and limited capacity, and works well alongside Adult Social Care, carers’ services, and VCSE provision.
Support includes:
-
Clear, accessible digital toolkits covering business ideas, self-employment basics, HMRC registration, and simple budgeting
-
Flexible, self-paced delivery with no fixed courses or attendance requirements
-
Optional light-touch one-to-one guidance
-
A wellbeing-aware approach focused on confidence and sustainability
-
Signposting to specialist services where required
Carerpreneurs is not a clinical, therapeutic, or employment-readiness service.
It works best as a preventative, early-stage option and can be suitable for carers’ direct payments or discretionary support.
